Where to began, I'm in Awe maybe one of the greatest finds in all of the US underground Black Doom metal world. Not to mention there band name is one of that best I've seen in years. I love the mystery and pagan/heathen over tone of the whole project. Though just a 3 track release it is well over 70 minutes and each song over 12 minutes in length. To call this just Black metal would be limiting the majestic of what WITTR are composing here. The complexity of just the guitar structures and bass line that go from blast black metal to avant metal to doom back to an almost folk element. The vocals are of a tortured male solo and a Female goddess . The vocal talents are very very strong here. It is very rare that I can listen to a complete CD of 12 min plus tracks over and over again. I don't want to jump the gun being that it is just mid way into second month of the year but Wolves in the Throne room will have a very hard time being beaten for best new artist of the year for me. If there is anything in this day and age for my ears to call Metal Musical perfection then this would be it. This release needs to be witnessed by all.
